The Committee on Science and Education presented the book at the Fourth International Theoretical and Practical Conference "Higher Education of Ukraine within the Scope of the Integration into the European Educational Dimension" held at Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University.
The participants of the presentation stated that the book included the materials of the Committee hearings on the topic "Enhancement of Legislative Support of the Higher Education Development in Ukraine within the scope of drafting a New Version of the Law "On Higher Education" held on 18 June 2008.
The Bologna Declaration being signed in May 2005, the organization of the higher education in Ukraine needs to be altered as to the educational and educational-qualification levels, determination of the types of higher education establishments, conditions of their foundation and closing, requirements for the higher education standards.
The book also includes analytical materials on conditions and prospects of higher education development in Ukraine, as well as the collection of laws of certain European States (Denmark, Norway, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania and Czech Republic) concerning higher education.
